href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/LaPanthereRose974\/photos\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><b>La Panth\u00e8re Rose<\/b><\/a>) and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/swing.re\/\" target=\"_blank\">founded <b>Swingin\u2019 R\u00e9union<\/b>&nbsp;&#8211; the annual International Swing Dance festival<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In 2017, Shehan was recognised for bringing the Lindy Hop scene to R\u00e9union Island and was named an <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lapanthererose.re\/2017\/03\/13\/shehan-karin-ambassadors-lindy-hop-reunion-indian-ocean\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ambassador of Lindy Hop by the Frankie Manning Foundation<\/a> in the USA. He was also invited to attend the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.herrang.com\/history-and-present\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Herr\u00e4ng Dance Camp<\/a> &#8211; one of the world\u2019s most recognised Swing dance camps.<\/p>\n<p>It was \u2018love at first dance\u2019 for Shehan; he was immediately drawn to Lindy Hop\u2019s <em>rhythmical<\/em>, <em>improvised<\/em> <em>social dance<\/em> aspects and the <em>freedom of expression<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, Shehan\u2019s introduction to Lindy Hop in New Zealand during 2003 was momentous for him he said: <em>&#8216;I will never be unhappy again.&#8217;&nbsp;<\/em>Swing dancing instantly clicked with his high energy, free flowing creative personality as well as his \u2018heart first\u2019 life philosophy.
